KEEP GROWING DETROIT IS HIRING!
KGD is expanding our garden development team. We are hiring a Garden Development Specialist that will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to residents and organizations with interest in growing fruits and vegetables in the city. In addition to helping stakeholders develop new gardens and sustain existing ones, this Specialist will be responsible for gardener engagement in KGD activities and programs, including regional and citywide KGD events and “sweat equity” opportunities. The Specialist will also assist with activities that support the Garden Resource Program, including community outreach, resource distribution and educational programming. VOLUNTEER WITH US AT THE PLUM STREET MARKET GARDEN
Come farm with us! Keep Growing Detroit maintains open volunteer hours at the Plum Street Market Garden, every Tuesday from 4-6PM (March-October), Thursday from 5-7PM (March-June), and Friday from 10AM-12PM (April-August).
If you have a group of 5 or more interested in volunteering at the Plum Street Market Garden or another community or market garden in Detroit, Hamtramck, or Highland Park please contact us to schedule an event.
