What We’re Growing

THE KGD ONLINE FARM STORE

To shop for Detroit-grown produce, herbs, honey, transplants, and native plants visit KGD’s new ONLINE FARM STORE. It’s also an easy way to order KGD merchandise or make a donation to support our work. All orders can be picked up curbside at the KGD Farm in the Eastern Market District.

GROWN TO ORDER VEGETABLE, HERB, & FLOWER TRANSPLANTS

To help make sure Detroit’s food supply stays diverse and interesting, Keep Growing Detroit sells Grown-To-Order vegetable, herb, & flower transplants to Garden Resource Program members and our Partners in Food Sovereignty. All plants are grown sustainably, without chemical pesticides or herbicides.

2020 Fall Crop Orders are due by June 5th. To order on-line CLICK HERE.

COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) PROGRAMS AT THE KGD FARM

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs support small-scale farms and strengthen local food systems by encouraging consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from farmers. Interested consumers purchase a share and in return, receive seasonal produce throughout the specified season.

GROWN TO ORDER NATIVE PLANTS

To help gardeners and farmers create curb appeal and establish habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects, Keep Growing Detroit produces dozens of varieties of native flowers and shrubs each year. These plants also help protect fresh water by managing stormwater and stabilizing soil.
