COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE (CSA) PROGRAMS AT THE KGD FARM

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) programs support small-scale farms and strengthen local food systems by encouraging consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from farmers. Interested consumers purchase a share and in return, receive seasonal produce throughout the specified season. During the 2020 growing season, KGD will be offering a weekly CSA share between August and November as well as full and half Thanksgiving Shares, which can be picked up at Eastern Market’s Thanksgiving Market on November 26th. For more information coming soon.

GROWN TO ORDER NATIVE PLANTS

To help gardeners and farmers create curb appeal and establish habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects, Keep Growing Detroit produces dozens of varieties of native flowers and shrubs each year. These plants also help protect fresh water by managing stormwater and stabilizing soil. In 2020 we will be hosting a Native Perennial Plant Sale in late August. More details coming soon.
