HAPPY 313 DAY! Join Danielle for Talk Story #1, where we will focus on visioning and how to tell the story of your garden or farm.

The richness and vibrancy of Detroit’s urban agriculture community is so ripe with living history. These are stories often told or discovered over passing moments at community events, while packing seeds, or harvesting the field. Following in the oral traditions of Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander “talk story,” this project creates platforms for growers to tell the stories or lessons learned about growing their gardens, saving seeds, and sharing their harvests. Through subsequent storytelling and workshop opportunities participants will honor their growing stories to ultimately utilize these skills to share their stories for marketing, grant writing, and amplifying the beautiful work they do to grow the community.
