Seasonal Farmer

 Miles is an Afro-indigenous vegetable farmer that is focused on farmer to farmer training, vegetables production education, black & indigenous history, and building community. For many seasons Miles has managed farms both urban & rural in the greater Grand Rapids area. He’s been on the Michigan Local Food Council Network & the Kent County Food Policy Council creating change at the local and state level. He is a graduate of the Organic Farming Training Program at Michigan State University and hopes to see more farmers germinating throughout the state. At KGD he will be assisting at the KGD Farm and Grown in Detroit. If he isn’t farming he’s likely listening to music or playing it.
