Board Co-Chair
Darius is a Detroit gardener who is more than willing to give another gardener a hand. His garden roots are deep in both heritage and faith. He follows his Great Grandmother’s golden rule, “Treat others how you want to be treated”. When Darius is not working in his garden, located on the city’s Westside, he is lending a hand to another gardener, in a class learning more techniques, or enjoying family and friends. He makes volunteering a top priority. Gardening has produced an unexplainable peace in his heart and has established stability in his life. He has high hopes that one day, everyone will be unified through growing food and peace will permeate the Earth.
