Volunteer with KGD

Join us at the farm

Volunteering is a great way to get to know KGD Farm, spend some time outside, and sharpen your garden skills. Volunteers lend a hand with seasonal tasks including transplant production, planting, harvesting, and general farm maintenance.

Volunteer Opportunities

  • Community Seed Packing Events

Volunteer with Keep Growing Detroit as we pack seeds and write transplant labels for the upcoming growing season. Seed packing events are a great way to connect with growers in your area, learn about the Garden Resource Program, and plan your garden.

  • Host a Seed Packing Event with Us

For these events KGD provides seed packing materials, instruction, and event facilitation. Your group provides volunteers, event space, and tables & chairs. This is a great opportunity to learn about KGD ‘s mission cultivating a food sovereign city.
