A Feast for the Future of Farming

  • Keep Growing Detroit Farm 3100 Orleans Street Detroit, MI, 48207 United States (map)

Join Keep Growing Detroit & Tito's Handmade Vodka in raising scholarship funds for the 2024 Detroit-based Organic Farmer Training Program!

MSU's Organic Farmer Training Program (OFTP) is an incredible year-long opportunity that nurtures aspiring farmers, homesteaders, and educational gardeners in building community and acquiring the skills they need to sustainably build the farm of their dreams.

A Feast for the Future of Farming will begin with cocktails by Tito's and appetizers in the kitchen garden followed by a tour of KGD Farm. Guests will then be seated in the orchard for a three course meal inspired by Detroit’s agricultural landscape and prepared by chefs Warda Bouguettaya, Shanel DeWalt & Meiko Krishok. Throughout the evening you'll have the opportunity to hear from current OFTP students about their vital role in cultivating a food sovereign city. Thanks to our sponsors at Tito's, all proceeds from ticket sales will go directly towards scholarships for the 2024 Detroit-based OFTP cohort.

If you are unable to join us for dinner, we invite you to make a donation towards the scholarship fund and/or bid at the silent auction. Thanks to our community partners who contributed items to the auction, all proceeds will go directly towards 2024 Detroit-based OFTP scholarships.
