What to expect
You do not need to make a reservation to attend.
It may take up to 30 minutes for you to complete the distribution process, especially within the first hour. Please plan accordingly.
Let us know if you need assistance getting your resources to your car. We're happy to help!
- No pets at KGD Farm except for service animals.
Distro Flow
Check In at the registration table (any payments or GRP membership registration/renewals or payments happen here!) Printed planting instructions will be available.
Expect 2 Family Seed lines & 1 Community, School Market Seed line. The lines are separate from each other and will have signage.

After picking up your distribution items be sure to stop by the Engagement Area. We will be sharing information about upcoming events and classes as well as additional KGD resources. We will also have a quick activity for our GRP kiddos.
We will have a swap table where folks can put unwanted plant or seed selections for fellow growers
Parking
Parking is available in the lot across the street from the farm, entrance on Wilkins St. For GRP members who need easier access to KGD Farm, we have designated accessible parking spaces marked with orange cones dectly across the street from the regististration table. We suggest you cross at Wilkins/Orleans. DO NOT park on Orleans St.
KGD Farm Covid policy
When the risk in Detroit/Wayne County is medium or high, masks that fully cover your mouth and nose must be worn indoors at all times and outdoors when you are working within 6 feet of another person. Everyone is encouraged to practice physical distancing.
Can’t make it? Missed pick up?
Please note we cannot accommodate drop ins at KGD Farm for seed & transplant pickups outside of the scheduled times. We will have make up distributions for member who are unable to make the scheduled dates (details TBA). If you have health or mobility challenges that prevent you from joining us at KGD Farm for distribution or have other questions about distribution, please contact romondo@keepgrowingdetroit.org or 313-656-4769 to discuss how we can best help you receive your GRP resources.
