Fire Cider: A Seasonal Tonic
Warm things up and be ready for cold and flu season with a hands-on Family Foodways Preservation Class all about fire cider!
Made with apple cider vinegar, garlic, ginger, lemon, onions, herbs, and other ingredients. Fire Cider has long been used as a warming seasonal remedy to soothe coughs and congestion and support the body during cold and flu season.
Participants will learn how to make, store, and use fire cider at home while exploring its history—including the landmark community victory that helped keep the name “Fire Cider” available for everyone to use. Everyone will make their own jar of fire cider to take home!
To honor all of the incredible time each instructor puts into sharing their knowledge and stories, we are asking all attendees to RSVP. This is due to the limited space for the class, and to ensure there are enough supplies for everyone. RSVP coming soon!
