KGD is offering a three-part series for early childcare professionals in Detroit, Highland Park and Hamtramck to introduces simple Garden-Based Learning tools and activities and tools that will help create a healthy eating environment in the classroom, during meals and snacks and through active use of outdoor learning environments.
Part 3: Monday, June 5, 6-8PM. Harvesting Healthy Habits: Bringing More Fruits and Vegetables to the Table focuses on opportunities to introduce children to fresh and healthy local fruits and vegetables through tastings, meals and snacks. It also introduces participants to opportunities and resources to procure seasonal fruits and vegetables for their programs.
