Grafting Fruit Trees

  • KGD Farm 3100 Orleans Street Detroit, MI, 48207 United States (map)

Grafting is the process of taking a cutting (scion) from a known fruit variety and ‘grafting’ or attaching it to a rootstock. This method can be used to economically start your own fruit trees. You can also graft onto existing trees in the same family. Join us for a hands-on demonstration of this process. A limited number of trees grafted by the group (1-3 feet) will be available for participants to take home.

NOTE: you must be a Garden Resource Program member to receive a tree. First come first serve.
