GRP Resource Hub Appreciation & Closing Workdays - Georgia St. Community Collective

  • Georgia St. Community Collective 8902 Vinton Avenue Detroit, MI, 48213 United States (map)

In an effort to show appreciation to the generous community leaders who host the GRP resource hubs, supporting Garden Resource Program members to have access to garden resources, we are planning upcoming end-of-season hub workdays at the eastside, central and NEW

westside regional hubs (Please note the new westside regional hub location).  This is not only an opportunity for GRP members to show their appreciation by volunteering, but also an opportunity for members to gather, network, and to get more acquainted with the hubs.

As a thank you to GRP members for participating, we will be giving away hyacinth bulbs until supplies last!

For many years Neighbors Building Brightmoor has hosted the westside hub, generously supporting the growth of the GRP, housing resources, hosting events and inspiring growers through their incredible leadership and efforts. . They are ready to pass the torch and support Brenda & Alphonso of Foster Patch Community Garden, who will take on leadership and serve as the NEW westside regional hub location.  It is easily accessible for the community of growers on Detroit's west side, near I-96 and Evergreen.

What are GRP Resource Hubs?

GRP Resource Hubs serve as a display of partnership between KGD and organized established community leaders who agree to allow GRP resources to be disbursed at their sites along with a multitude of other KGD programming and GRP Events.
