As the Seasonal Outreach Engagement Assistant, you
can find Toria assisting with outreach efforts in the community and engaging with community in the process. She may also be on the KGD Farm helping with volunteers and getting her hands in some soil helping transplant veggies. Toria brings over a decade of experience as a community advocate, community organizer, engagement coordinator and diversity, equity and inclusion champion. She is no stranger to the importance of health equity and food sovereignty in the Detroit community and is proud of the work she does as a doula, breastfeeding counselor, involved member of the Cardiovascular Health Equity Action Council, Achieve Greater Wayne State University and Health Equity Action Network. In her down time you can find her somewhere dancing bike riding and enjoying her family. She proudly refers to herself as a change agent and is committed to her community.
